About Us:
We are an independent, community-oriented cafe in Mt Claremont seeking a seasoned and passionate professional to lead our team. We cultivate a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel comfortable, valued, and connected. We are dedicated to serving high-quality coffee and creating a space that fosters genuine interactions.
Responsibilities:

Lead with "Old-School" Charm: You'll embody the spirit of genuine hospitality, ensuring every customer receives personalized attention and friendly service. Think remembering names, offering genuine smiles, and fostering positive interactions.

Operational Excellence: You'll oversee all aspects of cafe operations, working closely with the head chef including scheduling, staff training, ensuring food and beverage quality, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.

Coffee Connoisseur: You'll possess a deep understanding and appreciation for coffee, ensuring consistent brewing, menu development, and maintaining positive relationships with our coffee suppliers.

Team Leadership: You'll be a supportive and empowering leader, fostering a positive work environment, motivating staff, and providing training and development opportunities.

Financial Accountability: You will have targets to hit cafe budgets, track sales and expenses, and ensure profitability. The book keeper does the nitty gritty.

Safety and Compliance: You'll ensure the cafe adheres to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in cafe management or a senior role. You may be ready to step up to manage

Proven track record of success in exceeding customer service expectations.

Strong understanding of coffee preparation methods and trends.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize responsibilities.

Strong financial literacy and attention to detail.
